The Final Week of Billiard Royale Development
The final week is here, and we have decided what exactly we're going to be doing to finish the project. As of right now, it's quite simple what needs to be done. The mechanics specifically relating to the cue control (launching with a pool cue) need to be refined and honed, as well as some overall updates to polish, including screen shake for ring outs and a Smash Bros-like KO particle effect with the player's color, to make it obvious as to what is going on with all four players to everyone at any given time.
The main menu needs to be worked into something better that can be more presentable. A simple logo with some colored buttons would suffice, it wouldn't take too much time. Riley Carpenter this week will work on a logo for the game, as well as finish the lighting for the main level, which he has taken the initiative to completely overhaul the skybox room system into a full 3D room and background, it's really quite impressive. When his logo is done, I can finish the main menu. Other than that, Riley's artwork is done.
Other than that, with the core gameplay loops done, the feedback we got implemented regarding control and clarity, I think this game can be considered fully finished by the end of the week, and if it's not, then I will explain what went wrong and where things could have been better planned.
